     If you work on your own, it can be valuable just to see that you're not alone in doing so--that you're not alone, period. It's an opportunity to share thoughts on the experience and the business of freelancing with people you might not otherwise come in contact with. And I think any way of connecting with other people in your neighborhood, no matter what brings you together, can enhance the sense of community.

     This is an interesting group of freelancers, who really want to help each other... writers, a costume designer, a transcriptionist, a translator, an architect and others. I'd like to meet theater people, graphic artists and web designers to collaborate and network with!
